The trees that were once green turn shades of red and eventually are nothing more than bare branches. However, metamorphosis is not confined to only the natural world. A looming winter signals unique kinds of transformation for each of us. While change can mark new and exciting turns, it can also carry great sadness and loss. Like the falling leaves, we inevitably lose something in the process of change.
